180 Degreez is a rap band fronted by Shu Qin and Jason, and based in Sydney Australia. The band are very open about their Christianity and their lyrics reflect this. Most of their songs are evengelical in nature. Their debut album is titled 'Hope 4 The Hopeless' Intro to 180 DegreeZ the Sydney-Based Rap Group Status of 180 DegreeZ in 2008 180 DegreeZ is a Christian rap group that was formed in Rooty Hill, Sydney, Australia 2002 by Jason Lee Wells and Shu Qin Lee (A.K.A. “Shuchee” or “Bernie”). Their debut “Hope for the Hopeless” was released in 2003, followed by their second album “Clinging to the Cross” in 2005. Both albums were released independently. 500 units of the debut were produced and approximately $2000 Australian dollars was profited from sales of the first album, all of which went into fund-raising support for a youth group at the church they both attended at the time. Money raised from the sales of the second album will also go towards a church fund. Significant amount of copies of both albums have been given away for the purpose of spreading the music concept and the gospel of Christ. 180 DegreeZ, as a group, has been inactive ever since after the release of their second album in 2005. There is uncertainty as to whether or not 180 DegreeZ will resume their music ministry.
