1965


1965 is a rock band from Warsaw, Poland, founded in 2013. The group was formed at the initiative of singer, guitarist and songwriter Michał Rogalski. He asked his friends to participate in the recording of an album of songs written by him over the last few years. Guitarist Mikołaj Piechocki, bassist Paweł Krulikowski and drummer Marcin Krulikowski agreed to participate in the project. After only a few months of rehearsals they started recording under the supervision of Tomasz Korczak in Red Yeti Studio. Additional keyboard parts were recorded by Filip Lato. After several months of struggle in the studio, 1965's debut album, entitled 'High Time' was ready. It had its on February 27th 2015. The band's plans for the future include extensive touring. The band's name is taken from the title of one of The Afghan Whigs' albums, which is one of Rogalski's favourite bands. Currently, the 1965 team consists of: Michał Rogalski (vocals, guitar), Stefan Jabłczyński (guitar), Marco Caponi (bass), Tomek Rudnicki (drums). Read more on Last.fm.
