In April 2002, Good Times Magazine wrote about the band, They are one of the few groups worthy of a major label deal that we have on the island. The members of 231 are just glad people are enjoying the music. A perfect testament to this is the fact that the band's songs have been played and downloaded online over 30,000 times. On MP3 , the band earned #1 in Power Pop with Turn and Walk Away. In mid-2001, New York's WLIR 92. 7FM played the band for 15 weeks straight. As a result, 231 not only performed acoustic live on-air at WLIR, but was also chosen by WLIR to appear at a station-hosted event in which the band performed in front of over 1200 music fans!! Most recently, the band was featured several times on WBAB's Homegrown show. The band was also chosen as Long Island Band of the Month for March 2002 by longislandmusicscene and as a result was asked to perform at two of their original music showcases at Long Island's hottest venues.
