The project 25men consists of a varying number of people from around the world: some are established musicians and artists, the others; mavericks, free-thinkers and the sound-obsessed. They started trading samples until they found themselves creating tracks inspired by the collective itself. 25men make music for no other reason other than so they can hear it. 25men present an amalgamation of musical, visual and artistic ideas; the result twists rock, techno and trance into something wondrous: a complex and intoxicating c21st sound. According to GPS magazine they make Hawkwind seem like Katie Melua. 25men's debut album, The Dancing Wu Li Masters is out now on D-Monic records. In 2008 25men supported Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and Cassandra Complex and headlined at Hawkfest. 25men are currently working on their, as yet untitled, second album augmented by the future machine rock of Chemlab’s Jared Louche, the mighty thunder rider of Space Ritual’s Nik Turner and the progressive, psychedelic rock of Hawkwind’s Dave Brock.
