Performing live in Chicago’s clubs, recording her original music and creating scores for theater productions, singer/songwriter ANNAH LONDON is becoming a musical force. Since moving to Chicago in 2007, she has treated audiences to her music, described as a blend beween Indie rock and Folk rock with thought provoking lyrics, at Heartland Cafe, The Redline Tap, The Elbo Room Lounge, in Edward Kiszenia's production, Viva La Vocals (2008), Robin Fine's Poetry and Prose show (July 2009), and debuted with Beast Women for their 2010 Spring Series. She is looking forward to playing many more live shows in Chicago and the greater Chicago area. Annah is also committed to Chicago’s robust theatre scene. Her music has been featured in The People*s Theatre of Chicago productions “Flowers Out of Season” (2007) and “Questa” (2008). She won the After Dark Award for OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL INCIDENTAL SCORE, which she composed on piano, for her work on “Questa.” Chicago Stage Review praised that score as ... subtly lovely and simply compelling original music (that) infused the production with an appropriately overwhelming melancholy. It was beguiling, evocative and instinctively elegant. A prolific composer/lyricist, Annah has recorded two solo CD's of her original acoustic music, Just Me and Annah London's acoustic solos.
