Art of Bregenz is the Ambient/ Electronic/ Post-Rock and Trip Hop solo project of J.d. Hillier. J.d. began working in the spring of 2005 and created this namesake project in summer of 2010. Drawing on inspiration from Industrial-Rock bands such as Nine Inch Nails to Ambient from Brian Eno, Art of Bregenz is a mesh of various styles. Incorporating various elements of Jazz, Rock, Indie and Trip-Hop, the music is inherently dark. J.d. Hillier was born in Jacksonville, Fl in the Mid 80's. After moving to Central Florida and graduating from high school there, J.d. began his musical career in Spring of 2005. Shortly thereafter, J.d. began consulting for a local punk band, FPX. After a few months of shows and recording, J.d. started working with another local band, The Acid Murder. After playing various instruments and holding recording sessions, a year and a half later J.d. left The Acid Murder after a falling out. After The Acid Murder, J.d. began to focus on his personal compositions and musical prowess. Drawing more inspiration from Jazz elements, J.d. began writing and recording on almost constant basis.
