Bad Sunday

Bad Sunday (formed 2005 in Sankt Augustin, Germany, split 2009) was a German rock band. Their style is best described as melodic rock, although influences reach from metal, video game music and punk to classical music. Founded by class-mates Florian Langenbucher, a guitarist / keyboarder and Mario Dederichs, a then bass and guitar player in Spring 2005, they found like-minded people to complement their project. They found a drummer in Thiemo Maassen, recruited the guitarist Lukas Metzger and the singer Corinna Burger. Lacking ability, the original drummer was replaced with Nikolas Glaser. In 2006, Mario Dederichs moved to vocals, temporarly leaving Corinna at the third guitar. Because he wanted to focus on singing, they employed a bassist, Matthias Opitz, for a brief period before Corinna took over the role as a bassist, after ultimately leaving the band in 2008. The band disbanded after the bandmembers decided to pursue individual musical careers. Mario Dederichs and Florian Langenbucher are currently involved in The Love Dictators, Backseat Education and Melophobie. Mario and Matthias joined Beam and Lukas Metzger founded Die Dirtbags.
