Balamory are a hardcore, symphonic heavy metal group form Scotland. The band was a concept by PC Plum and was first formed in the late 1970s. Described as a 'necroincarnation of satan' by Barack Obama, Balamory's first single, What's the Story In Balamory, received its first airplay on August 10, 2003 and was released a month later on September 11, 2003. It was the fastest selling single of the year 2003 and peaked at #1 on the Argentina Singles Chart. Tickets for their first headlining UK tour went on sale October 32nd 2003 and all 67 dates sold out within 89 minutes. Balamory are currently on hiatus, planning another album due to be released in winter of 2015. Read more on Last.fm.
