Best Wel Lekker (Pretty Nice) is a pop/dance/rock group originating from South Holland, The Netherlands. They formed at the end of 2010 and have been working on their first album Het Heilige Eiland (The Holy Island) since. Starting as a joke between a few friends that visited the Dutch island Texel every year as a tradition, they slowly started to put more and more work into songs and began to work on a full length album. Most of their songs consist of a dance/pop beat combined with mostly comedic lyrics. On the 15th of february 2012 they self-released their first single Slufterparty from the forthcoming 'Het Heilige Eiland'. (video), a song about a party in 'De Slufter', a nature reserve on Texel. On July 3, 2012, Best Wel Lekker self-released their first album 'Het Heilige Eiland'. The album is said to be inspired by experiences the members had when they visited the Dutch island Texel. It mostly consists of catchy beats and a few acoustic songs, with lyrical themes of comedy, 'living the good life' and dealing with misunderstanding of their lifestyle. Read more on Last.fm.
