In 1998 Swedish band Starf*ck was formed in a small town called Örnsköldsvik by/with members Per Karlsson,Joakim Åström, Andreas Lundqvist and Niklas Westberg. With influences ranging from metal to grunge to punk to old fashioned rock n' roll and with a keen sense of songwriting, Starf*cks reputation grew through word of mouth and eventually got a lot of coverage in national radio and won an award of best unsigned rock band in Sweden 2002. With a bagage full of big and prestigious gigs and a lot of material that yearned to reach outside of Swedens borders, a relationship was started in 2005 with sinergymanagement (http://www.sinergymanagement.com/) based in Los Angeles, USA. Material was dropped off at various A&R representatives and producers from major labels and due to the group now reaching a higher league they decided to change their name to Bloody April. In january 2006 Bloody April was signed by Swedish label Ninetone Records and will release their first single and album sometimes in late autumn.
