Blues Merchants

Formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2006, The Blues Merchants released their second cd Tattooed With The Blues on August 11, 2012. The record, which includes a fresh, blues treatment of the Lemon Pipers' 1968 hit Green Tambourin, is receiving Cincinnati radio airplay and some great reviews including this one that you can copy and paste into your browser!: The Blues Merchants' live show also covers some great, danceable R&B and features the dynamic Amy McFarland as the band's featured vocalist. With an arresting stage presence Amy’s heartfelt performances command attention as she takes ownership of everything she sings. She was twice nominated for a Cammy Award as best rock vocalist in Cincinnati during her 7-year tenure with The Gamut. Amy has also appeared on several radio and television programs including frequent visits with WLW’s Gary Burbank on “Blues Fridays.” Amy also performs with the bands Trinity and Chasing Amy. Guitarist, vocalist, & songwriter Chris Kepes has worked with the likes of the Dayton, Ohio based late blues veteran Piney Brown on the blues circuit and toured nationally with Alex Glover and Company based in New Jersey and the Robin Lewis Band from Las Vegas.
