BluKomet is Stan Tangeman and Scott Fujawa, with occasional help from Bill Evans, Carlos Forster and John Blaylock. They met in college in San Luis Obispo, Ca in 1990, eventually moving to San Francisco and forming BluKomet in 1998. Pedal steel surf and hawaiian instrumental songs became their strong point after dabbling in several genres on their 2000 BetaPunks Release. Influences include Link Wray, Early Surf Music, The Minutemen, & and the likes of Speedy West and Friends of Dean Martinez. Tangeman can be heard playing pedal steel on Beulah and Casiotone for the Painfully Alone songs, and Fujawa played drums on the For Stars self-titled first album. official website BluKomet MySpace page Read more on User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
