From the outskirts of East Los Angeles come EAST OF THE RIVER. A young 4 piece garage rock band who have captured the attention of many with their fierce and formidable live performances. Channeling from the likes of Roy Orbison, Echo and the Bunnymen and the Sonics their sound is a blend of dark garage-surf rock which is the fuel to their unique, progressive and expansive sound. EAST OF THE RIVER formed in late 2011 from the ashes of the now defunct Gossip Tree (whom at one point received respected BMI and KROQ spotlights). In their young career, they have had the privilege to play at many of LA’s majestic venues which have allowed them to share the stage with many well known recording artists. After a successful 2012, East of the River have taken then time to work on material and are currently in the studio working on their eccentric debut E.P. which is set to be released Fall 2013.
