There are three bands with the name Eclectica. One is based in Nashville, TN, featuring Tracy Silverman on electric violin, Roy Futureman Wooten on the drums, and Steve Forrest on bass. Each musician in the band performs with other groups or solo, but they have produced one album as a group, Streaming Video Soul. Steve Forrest was not bassist at the time of the production of the album; instead, Kyle Whalum did bass for the group. The other band is the musical society of SPA Bhopal. It challenges the very notion of a rigid, tight, consolidated band. They believe in reinvention and improvisation, that enables them to be a new band with every performance. The lineup is flexible and is changed and adjusted with the requirement posed by song or genre .This enables them to explore multiple genres. They believe in synthesis of new melodies and harmonies, conceived by a diverse range of musical minds who hail from all over India and that gives them a distinct identity and a distinct sound texture.
