There are 2 bands going by the name Ahiro: 1. AHIRO was formed in 2004 in Parsippany, NJ and Carleton Place, Ontario and consists of Mark Gauthier (instruments & vocals) and Anthony Olivieri (lyrics & vocals). In 2005, the bands first album, AHIRO, was recorded in 9 days at a Highland Park apartment in New Jersey. In 2006, their second CD, which was a split between AHIRO songs and Tattoo (Mark Gauthier's side project), was recorded. While largely created at Mark's Basement Studios, vocals and drums were done at Addictive Sound Studios with producer Dean Hadji. In 2007 the band decided to change their name to Art or Sex and have been in the studio with Dean Hadji working on their first proper full length. 2. Ahiro is/was a noisy Japanese punk band.
